Turn Based Strategy Framework - Tilemap demo
This demo level was built with the Turn Based Strategy Framework — a highly customizable framework for turn-based strategy games. The demo showcases a new tilemap-based approach to building maps, coming soon in the next release. The advantages of using tilemaps include:
-
Performance Boost: Eliminates thousands of GameObjects, reducing draw calls and memory overhead.
-
Flexible Workflows: Design maps in Unity, generate them procedurally at runtime, or import layouts from external tools (Blender, Tiled, etc.).
-
Live Editing: Modify the map at any time.

Something aint right with the infrantry crossing forests or mountians. Like movements costs are weird.
Are the movement penalties non-full numbers for a chance?
(But I do like how they slow down.)
Hey! It doesn't say anywhere, but movement cost for mountains and forests is 2 (for infantry; doesn't apply to air units). In the Framework, movement cost is defined as float values, but in this demo, it's just 1 for plains and 2 for mountains/forests.
Nice! When are your update coming out?
Hey, thanks! I'm working on it as we speak—the Unity version will be ready within a month. No news yet on the Godot Asset Store launch, though.
Thanks for answer! Perfect for my vacation :) .
